2012 Biking Goals

My goals list for 2012 is in development, but here is a start:

  1. Bike 5,000 km
  2. Climb 40,000 m
  3. Improve on my time of 5:03 from last year’s Tour de Victoria (sub 5 hrs)
  4. Improve on my 8 laps from last year’s Solo 24 Hours of Adrenaline race (10 – 12)
  5. Improve on my time of 6:15 from last year’s RBC Whistler Gran Fondo (+/- 5 hrs)
  6. Ride a full 100-mile century – perhaps as part of Fatty’s 100 Miles of Nowhere?
  7. Try riding on the track
  8. Cycle the Triple Crown (Seymour, Grouse, Cypress) in Vancouver
  9. Cycle full Highwood Pass in both directions in one go

  1. Great goals Doug! If you get the chance I highly recommend cycling up Mt Revelstoke. 26km uphill (not too steep) and the descent and views makes it all worth while.

    • Thanks for the suggestion Craig! I googled it and it looks like a nice climb for sure. I would suggest that we ride it together one day, but perhaps the Cabot Trail would be more appropriate? In fact, I have just added it to my list. What do you say – 2013?
